Title: Need some info please.

Shopping for laptop for hubby.  On the info given in the "ports" section it lists HDMI, USB/etc. and then AC smart pin.   I have tried to figure out what an AC smart pin is and would he need it.  Can someone explain it to me in simple English?

It's the old school AC adapters that have the circle with the pin in the centre, instead of a hollow hole where the pin is on the power jack of the laptop.

If you can find something with USB-C charging, that stuff is really fast and also is most standardized, so no issue if you lose the power adapter for the most part.
