Title: playing with asteroids

so i was messing around trying to make a planet and had quite a happy accident.

and a second image. same basic settings but i added a light source to the back to show more of the detail on the asteroid.

it's actually the size of a planet. i was messing around with the size of my planet, got it down to 6000 and then added a large crater. i kept increasing the size until suddenly it split the planet in half. add a few perlin shaders to the surface and we have this monstrosity :)
