Could anyone tell me why this happens ? ----
Hmm...It looks as though the master reflectivity in the water shader is well above 1. Any value higher than 2 or 3 will give you something like that.
Master reflectivity set to .4, still happening.
There are currently some issues with reflection accuracy that manifest in certain situations. If you have a Surface Layer in the scene (hard to tell), try going to the Slope Constraints tab and selecting Terrain Normal instead of Final Normal in the lower-right drop-down box. If this helps please do let us know. I've seen it work in a few cases, but I'm unsure how consistent it is.
In any case these kinds of issues will definitely be fixed in the future.

Thanks for replying JJ , tried your suggestion but doesnt work. Ive attached the scene file if it helps. The terrain is 8mb so i wont upload that, hopefully this issue can be seen without the terrain.

Confirmed, this is an issue in the reflection system which will be fixed. Thanks for the example file.
