Title: Weird ocean cube
Post by: Hannes on August 03, 2018, 06:23:12 PM
I decided to create a new thread, although this is sort of a surreal evolution of my "Another ocean" attempts.
There are combinations of altitude limits and simple shape shaders to create the fake subsurface scattering here.

Very cool! You could make an awesome waterfal with this. Just plunge some boxes in an environment, click and render  ;D

Not a bad idea. I wonder how the animation would play out on rounded cube borders?

I tried doing a cube too but couldn't get exact results. Is it a surface layer with a child being a transformed setup stretched out with smoothing effect?
