This turned up while looking thru recent files. Made using Daniil's Erosion plugin with rivers enabled. Just a doodle.
Looks good.
Nice filigree on the pines! Good one! :)
One of your best, IMO.

Guess I should post it there. Didn't know we had a pinterest presence.
Oh...I see now, and thanks man.

Pinterest is not a gallery platform, so you can't post anything to my Gallery. I "Pin" the image to NWDA's board. You can create your own account and upload your own images. You should have a look there is some nice reference images and a few other boards.

Well that shows how much I know of pinterest, I've only actually ever stumbled upon it by reference links so had no idea how it works...thanks again for the inclusion man.
Looks beautiful, Bobby, but somehow the river looks strange. Like it's flowing up the mountain. And maybe a bit too rough?

Whew...some one else finally commented on that. I was completely unsatisfied with it and just threw this up as doodle and folks liked it. Wasn't going to go back to it but I may now...thanks for chipping in...a boot to the bottom often is the best encouragement.
EDIT
yup it was the noise. letting a crop test run but I'll for sure be doing a retake and at higher AA/mpD as well...
...well, a boot in the bottom wasn't my intention... ;D

heh heh, I know man, I was sorta referring to my laziness being exposed by someone actually viewing critically in a good way...
Well I can't get rid of it. Took all displacement off the water to no avail. I've uploaded the last attempt here and will move on now. Thanks for the input.
Looks great anyway!

Thanks Hannes, worked out not too bad for a 'doodle' in spare time.
This render is a very much a tribute to Dune's fabulous hi res close/up grasses he is sharing over at NWDA as it is a test of DoF rendering. Quite happy with the results. This is a ground level camera view of my Rivers and Veg scene.

That looks really good, even at extreme closeness, and the DOF makes it very easy on the eyes.
