Title: Simple use of the Vortex Shader
Post by: alessandro on July 28, 2013, 02:02:02 PM
I'd like to share a very simple Vortex Shader example that I came up with and could be hopefully of use to other TG newbies like me.
Changing the type of noise in the Cloud fractal shader v3 01 node (attached to the Vortex shader) and experimenting with parameters allows for nice variations.

Inspired by Ade over at TerraNuts on FB I tried using it as a terrain plugin...add it to the string in Terrains after the Fractal terrain 01 and before the Fractal warp shader 01 and tweak some settings. You see what's happening best from high up looking down for the view position.
