Zairyns wip cliffs.
I haven't been on here in a while, so I'm back now.
I was having some issues with stretched displacement on vertical terrain or near vertical terrain, which I thought might have been resolved, but apparently it wasn't resolved
(you can't really tell in this iteration).
Nice to see you back bud! I look forward to seeing this progress for certain.
decided to scrap those last two
I'm more pleased with this version.

much more better
If you need C&C; break up the strata and add some versions of it.
Sorry for the delay. :(
I haven't done any new work with Terragen in a while,
I've been through several different versions/variations, along with some setbacks, of this project and haven't been completely satisfied with them.
Nice mood on v2-1.
Agreed, very arty, almost like a woodcut or similar.
here's a higher res. version of v2-1
working on some displacement details on the lower areas of the cliff.
Possibly the most alien image so far or as Ulco says, "very arty" (which is a good thing imo). Great atmosphere.
results from last night,
added details to the lower sections.
*the surfacing (color) didn't turn out quite the way I wanted, I;ll be fixing that.
Nice progress!
Progress continues.
I like the last one. The picture remember me some rocks formation (not the color) des Iles de la Madeleine! Eroded by wind and sand.
Wait there's more!
some changes:
The last is definitely better. There is something that seems a little mysterious in the lower right, as if you could see through a layer of stone.

this?
(see image)
if so, that's just the Intersect Underlying (favor depressions).
(which I turned off in the next interation)
I turned off the intersect underlying.
I think I like this version a bit more.
Getting better and better.

Yes exactly, I prefer without this form. For me the version v3-6 is better.

me as well
Haven't been able to get into the forums for at least a day since the server-redirect hiccup.
latest.
Beware that the stretched holes are not in line with the strata. You need to rotate those (if you need them synced, that is).
replaced/changed surfacing and displacement on the lower parts of the cliff.
thinking of adding a cloud layer, nothing complex though.
Looks great!
I Think this might be my favorite out of the others in this project. :)
Nice adjustments! :)
Good progress. Now for some wet coastal line....
with clouds.
added some reflections for areas around the waterline
the rocks (or boulders) are fake stones with displacements and texturing.
liking the boulders.
This is turning into a very worthy render...loving the slightly cool atmo...still no icebergs so it's nit frigid but not arm really either....
after looking at the node network, it turns out those rocks were just created with a secondary masked pf terrain. turns out the fake stones were disabled, apparently.
Beautiful mood!

The white/blueish areas are mineral deposits.
There will be no icebergs.
changed the surfacing on the boulders
also changed elevation setting on the lower strata layers.
I like these iterations more.
new iteration-
lost power this morning, good thing this finished before that happened.
toned down the visibility of the 3rd strata layer
now we have ice cliffs :)
