Title: Saving OBJ as TGO
Post by: luvsmuzik on April 08, 2018, 09:16:45 AM
This has probably been said before, but I will ask again.

If you import an obj, adjust your material shaders, maybe even use a power fractal type material,.....
If you save this obj as a tgo, does it retain the materials?
Then say you want to change the material when it is now tgo, do you save it as a new tgo or just save again as same? will this update in any tgd using this object?
I understand the geometry won't change.

I think I found most of my answers here: https://planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,17799.msg172423.html#msg172423

still question about same object already used in other tgd files (that maybe I liked those materials  ;D)

when I change textures on an obj converted to a tgo I tend to iterate them as 00,01,02 as they're so small compared to .obj storage size isn't really an issue.

Oh okay. I forgot about the file size difference. I shall see what happens. Thanks!
