Very interesting image Joel.
The render itself could be a bit more detailed/crisp.
The distribution of the populations is a bit too even to my taste, could use some more variation.
Personally I would also prefer a darker color for the soil.
I like the low cloud which forms a kind of mist and gives great depth to the image.

Very nice, that low cloud/mist works really well.
I like the way you've used the low cloud to create a mist in the image, but I too would try to vary the density and make up of the forest slightly.
