I'm excited about the .VDB import/export functionality. This would give studios another reason to buy/use Terragen. Easy, great looking clouds that can be rendered in other applications?

He's using MMB to manipulate the camera view. Sounds like he's saying "R" button, but that'd be the RTP.

Here is an example gather project showing Hanne's method, and my own method for 'semi-transparent' shadows within the same object. Due to the way it's built you get about "half" transparent shadows. But it's useful for some stuff, like thicker glasses (lowering transparency on glass/default shadow), or effects like my RGB Orbs in file sharing.

I just started and I'm watching a tutorial video and the very first thing the tutorial does is "grab" the map right after opening a new project.  See this video (the exact time is 1 min 3 seconds):   notice he grabs the map and moves it around.  On my program, its entirely stuck.  I click left button, click right button, click both buttons, the map wont budge.  So I couldn't even escape the tutorial :(  I'm using Terragen 4 pro.

If you are seeing Quality of 1 with "normal" (i.e. not special effects) clouds, that should normally not be needed. Especially if Defer Atmo is enabled. However sometimes people use clouds to achieve unusual things they weren't originally intended for. And it's great when they do! It's just we didn't think about or optimize for those uses, so they sometimes require more extreme quality settings.

A good example of that is the recent 3D cloud fire projects some of us were dabbling in. In order to get rid of noise, and also stabilize the flame, settings had to be upped up above what you'd normally use.

What? You mean to save it? Yes you just change it's mode from member of a population to individual object.

Just noting from a technical stand-point there is no reason to present the user with this error, nor even handle the modes if not going to use them in the TGO file space.

For awhile I noticed this error and just thought you couldn't save objects inside the internal node network of populations before noting the mode. Lately though I've actually been writing down quirks with TG and either resolutions to the quirks or trying to document how they're produced. I have a lot of quirks written down with no resolutions or means so far. xD But those I try to come up with a solution/means to I am posting.
