Title: Erosion classic and a rock study.
Post by: mhaze on November 30, 2017, 02:15:56 PM
Hi All,

just a quick follow up on previous posts. I tried masking various elements o the rock displacements but in the end I liked this one better! Erosion classic with blueberry bushes from Walli and heather from Dune. Grass was made in Speedtree.   I'm not sure where the goats came from but I modified the textures to better fit in.

I like it, Mick, and at the same time something bothers me; I think the river and foreground represent one 'size'/dimension, the background another. Background looks like very big mountains, but doesn't really match with foreground somehow (which I like best). If you get my point. What if you would restrict the (awesome) rock texture to the foreground and grade it down a lot in the background, or mask most of it out?

Wonderful example of using the Erosion filter! I absolutely love the river curving around foreground rock. Great job!
For this POV I like the background rock formation as it shows the wonderful application of your noise ensemble! (New name for node system  ;D)

Thanks all. I half agree with both you and Dune!
