Well I've been sitting on this news for over a month, didn't really believe it untill the work permits came through.
Oshyan posted on the Terragen Facebook that MPC were looking for Terragen artists so I applied and knock me down with a feather they hired me!!
Honoured, humbled and stoked, scared and excited to be working for such an awesome company. The bar is very high and set to go higher.
I would never be doing this if it were not for this amazing community, thankyou so much.
Flying out on Saturday (I think ...), it's all moving very fast.
Wish me luck :)
WOW! Awesome news!!!!

Great Richard. Have fun. You can do it. And be sure (if permitted) to post something here, and NOT on the bloddy facebook.
Oh wow, that's fantastic Richard! Not only am I super excited for you and looking forward to seeing what you create (if/when you can talk about it of course :D ), but I'm also glad to know that the job posts actually get results sometimes. ;) Seriously though, huge congratulations. Show 'em what ol' TG can do!

Thanks guys, I'll see what I can post but I doubt it'll be much if anything untill after the "whatever" is released. The contract is pretty open and they may want me to work on a number of projects but as yet I have no real clue.
Current dilema is more about how I actually get from the south west of the UK (see sticks) to the thriving metropolis of Montreal without too many stops and layovers ...
8) Nice news. Congrats and good luck. :)
Oh, when I said welcome to my timezone I assumed you were going to Vancouver. Anyway, welcome to the continent :)
Good for you Richard! But what is MPC, or did I just miss it?
MPC = Moving Picture Company = one of the biggest and most well-respected visual effects companies on the planet. :D You may have heard of The Jungle Book (the recent, mind-blowing CG remake with photoreal environments) - they did a ton of the work on that. As well as a lot of the other big Hollywood films, year after year. Can't wait to see what Richard gets to work on. :)
