I've got an idea! Let's all do a little challenge. Let's create materials to submit to the
Materials thread in file sharing. It's seems to be serious lacking materials, and I think we can do better.
Challenge Rules1. Choose a unique material type
2. Recreate your material in Terragen
3. Use real-world (or relative) sizes
4. Submit an example image here, and share the TGC/TGD in the
Materials thread.
5. Quality & Post Processing: Polygon Detail: 0.6 Max Anti-Aliasing: 6 Max and post processing is allowed on example image, it's pretty common for TG.
On April 22nd, we can call the challenge "officially" over (though I'd encourage people to keep at it and submit some nice materials). and vote on the results on who mastered the material they were going for.
I've decided the material I will try and recreate is Granite, though when I went searching I very quickly realized there are tons of types of granite. With that in mind I am specifically going to recreate Gran Perla Granite.
