I've been working on this for a couple of weeks. Been a while since I posted anything so needless to say I'm happy this is finally finished. Hoping Martin (Tangled Universe) and all you guys and gals Like it.
Martins Fake Stones and some plants I put in make up the foreground. Thanks Martin, your work is fantastic. The rest of the scene was started with by using my "Lands of The Goshute" Terrain. I did the distant Mountains surfaces, Atmo-Clouds and of course the POV. This was rendered in I think seven crops and put together in Photoshop.
amazing piece man.....I have request for u....I wanna make this as my wallpaper.....can you render a 1920 x 1200 version for me please????
Beautiful work, Buzzzzz. I love everything about this. My only complaint is that it seems a bit too oversharpened/noisy in some spots.
Thanks OB, I knew someone would say that. LOL I asked my good friend chornor to check it on his LCD and he said it looked fine. I use a 20"CRT Trinitron for Graphics work. I wish I could find a happy medium between the two? ;)

Thanks Man, Sorry Buddy but what you see is what you get. I'm going to give my machine a rest for a while.
Maybe I should post a LCD and a CRT version? ;D
Looking great Jay, that would be a great start to an awesome Terraspace ;)

And tangled did a great job with those rocks. They really help the foreground pop! Awesome stuff.

Thanks for the lead Brent, I just IM'ed the piggy. ;D
The LCD version is better, although I still am going to whine a little about the noise :D. It's a pretty minor complaint, though, so I wouldn't bother tweaking it further.

No sharpening on that one. Blame TG or your monitor ;)

Now do you know why? ;) Congrats
I could make the best tg2 image ever and it wouldn't be chosen because I say what I think and not liked around the TG community.
This has wonderful lighting, excellent terrain and beautiful sky. Excellent!
I don't like you. Geeez. I'd better check myself. :P

Hi Jay,
so the whining and silent people are those to be chosen? Are those, who influence ... it is not the art?
So it is a verdict against you?
Volker? ;)

Absolutely, it's a political thing. LOL
Jay,
I think you have misunderstood me, or the other Planetside team members. There is no political agenda at work here, and I am not holding any grudges against you for any reason.
I am quite a fan of your work and its consistent high quality. When the right image comes along at the right time I would love to include it in the gallery. For now we are adding images to the gallery as part of the IOW process. Saurav's image was selected this week because it is a great image.

Well, what do you expect? Trying to form the TG2 branch of the Dick Cheney Hunt Club and Plastic Surgery Clinic... sheesh.
;D
great job Jay/Martin...love this sky, rocks, light etc!...excellent! :)

You want to try the Mojoworld community :-\
Awesome work. Overall very good but the rock structures are superb.
As for the LCD version. Well maybe the original is a touch sharp or rather a little grainy but what monitors are you people using? I have an Eizo LCD and the LCD version is terrible. All blurry.
Oooooooh that is nice. (LCD for me).
Not sure how I missed it earlier but I don't always have time to keep a regular watch in here.
Personally my first thought when I saw this was "Image of the Week", as well as one of your more recent ones. Had I not been on vacation I might have voted for its inclusion. As it is it will be a tough choice between this and other renders since I returned, but I can assure you this and many of your other images are high on the list of candidates.
