This render really needed high GI - 4/8 - primarily because of the reflected light from the snow illuminating the shadows.
Great lighting. I think this would benefit from seeing the sun disk also.
really good lighting..maybe a different pov and some added point of interest?
the forms also see a little 'rounded' ...
still the lighting does it for me!
great shadows.
Thanks guys.
@inky - I know what you mean about a point of interest, but I was aiming for simplicity with this one.
@njeneb - the difficulty with putting the sun disk in is that it would be so bright (strength 7) it would pull the eye away from the mountain.
That would be difficult. The haze glow in the atmosphere would have to be very low.
i'm a little bit let down domdib, i dont see any roses... :D :D :D ;D
just kidding, its fine without them :D
excellent lighting, the 4/8 was worth it
Thanks!
The colors of low sun and decay make this a striking image. Now you must hunt for a good point of view - then, add some vegetation (probably some pines and/or spruce) to complete the composition. Very good so far.
I appreciate the suggestions Bob, but there's only one problem with your suggestion for veg - this is a render of Kangchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, so we're WAY above the tree line ;)
Cat's get to eat lobster on Tuesday. What?
Yeah great lighting.
