Title: Help with a galaxy terrain
Post by: RAF Blackace on July 22, 2010, 07:31:51 PM
Hello.

I have several terrain files of galaxies and nebulae. I assume the heightfield is supposed to be transformed into a colour with the brightness proportional to the height of the terrain. Or maybe the lowest part of the terrain is black and the highest should be white, with all other parts in between.

How would I go about creating some images from these terrain files ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you post a .zip of these heightfields? I might be able to help.

Sure.

I have zipped them and uploaded them to my website.

Here. Two of the terrains were exactly the same, so I left one of them out.
