Title: Object Color Change by Altitude/Slope
Post by: RRMessiah on August 03, 2010, 09:58:27 AM
I saw another thread doing this (http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=758.0) but it is simply not working for me.

I assume I plug an image shader into a distribution shader or a surface layer, set the constraints, and plug her into the color function node. This doesn't work. Anyone have a solution that doesn't involve multiple populations?

Thanks!

Open your object, stick a surface shader between the default and the one below, blend by a distribution shader (which works better than the SS restraints, I think) with slope/alti constraints, and add whatever you want to color, luminosity, displacement (careful), child... That's basically it.

Excellent. Thanks. Worked great!
