Title: Camera Animation Path Whiplash
Post by: PabloMack on August 04, 2010, 12:11:44 PM
I am trying to control the path of the camera and the curve is sometimes experiencing what I call "whiplash".  Even though progress is ALWAYS forward, the interpolated curve sometimes regresses backward then speeds up to catch the next keyframe.  This is driving me batty.  In LW, for spline curves, each keyframe has a "tightness" control that allows me to change the shape of the curve around the keyframe position.  Is there a way to do this in TG2? I am hoping that I don't just have to load the region with more keyframes to control motion.  Moving these around in TG2 is like pulling teeth.

This is comming in the animation module update I believe. In the meantime do a search for lightwave chan export plugins.

Yeah I had this same annoying issue and figured that the only way around is to use an outside app. Atleast that's for the moment :/

Better keyframe/path control is coming with the Animation Module. In the meantime you need to either add additional keyframes around the problem areas, or import data from another app.
