Did you watched all the videos carefully?
I'm pretty impressed by the renderer and the photograpic quality you can ahieve.

However, the most important/interesting part is in the Vray RT CPU/GPU presentation, in regard to TG2.
This presentation tells kind of exactly why the majority of shading in TG2 can't be efficiently accelerated by a GPU.
Displacements and/or complex shading is the main culprit. TG2's shading is all complex shading, displacement based.

It would be a complete re-write of the program. I wish I could go into the future and get a fast computer from 10 years from now.
