Still using some cylindrical projection image map displacement but reducing its coverage and integrating it more with other power fractals, S&O, and T&S.
John
Nice one. I have been limiting coverage using power fractals lately myself. I was surprised to see some trees!

I really like the composition of this and the general feel and displacements, but I would change the strange grayish (voronoi/fake stones) rock surface on the left by a thick (glistening) soft, slightly undulating snow layer. It would make a very nice image. Perhaps a few largish rocks protruding.

he he . . . . sorry for the sloppy jargon abbreviations; neither involve rubber or pain ;D ; Strata & Outcrops and Twist & Shear shaders is all it is.
Soft undulating snow with rock protrusions sounds good . . . . I just have to get bothered to redo it.

I agree with Dune on the foreground. Like the strata - very well integrated.
