I'm registered and haven't gotten an email so they must be sending them out Individually rather than a mass mailing to registered users.

http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=1061.0

(Changed to preferred link by moderator)

i assume thats it since it has a different file name from the original tg2 which was
Terragen2TP1Free18640.msi

Title: Re: UPDATE

Build 1.8.76.0 (release candidate)

"Abort" renamed "Stop" on RenderView and in message boxes.
"Do you want to stop rendering?" message boxes have "Continue Rendering" as the default.
Rearranged order of some message box buttons.
Title: Re: UPDATE
Post by: Sengin on March 15, 2007, 09:14:35 PM
Yay!  Now TG2 doesn't always use 100% of the CPU :D
Title: Re: UPDATE
Post by: mrwho on March 15, 2007, 09:20:10 PM
and a render that used to have the "red death" doesn't, so render stability has been increased (I think)

Thanks for the updates, and hard work solving so many issues at once , maybe now  better obj models can be used in renders...

the changes to the water shader are also great.

I just opened Terragen after the new install and there was a noticeable difference in smoothness.

I tried a few small renders and it is definitely more stable. Kudos to the programmers!

No, I don't program, sadly. ;D I'm just a support, documentation, testing and PR monkey! ;) Matt and Jo definitely deserve the kudos for all the fixes and improvements. And this is really the tip of the iceberg for what's to come later this year. :)

I must still be stuck in that spam filter, no update email yet.
I sent off the email as planetside requested.
Not that it matters much yet, I'm 74 hours into a render and I'm only approaching the 2/3rd mark..

Thanks Matt!!! :) Got it.

I am a registered user (TG2 Deep + Animation) but I haven't received an update E-Mail yet I still have the E-Mail with the Web code that was sent with my Key code but haven't had any thing else. What do I do with this web code send Planetside an E-Mail with this code or some thing? Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

Regards to you.

Just a repeat of the tip in the docs... Uninstall first and then install.

I was lazy and paid the price  ;) ...  my render sequence crashed as soon as it hit a frame with terrain/objects. It's running smoothly now :)

Thaks Matt and Jo

Seems faster and smoother so far. I havn't had time to explore more keep up the great work.
Now I've no excuse to not finish some renders ;)

Thans again

Thanks Planetside.

All of my ui redraw glitches seem to have gone (I'm on windows xp classic) except for the list view which still feels a little flaky - but I guess you're aware of that based on the wording in the change log.

Cheers agian! :)

Great! Thanks for the quick update to the Planetside-Crew!
Oh no, no water transparency!  :'( ... ;-)
Seems to be a bit faster, smoother and more stable. Shader list problems are still there (whites out; no cut copy paste; move works just one time).

I received the email to update my REGISTRERED version, but since I did that, on opening it keeps saying "free non-commercial version" despite the fact that the registration key is in the right folder..Why is that??

Did you uninstall the previous version ?
Did you downloaded from planetside email ?
Those two could be the problem you are experimenting  ;D

Brilliant thanks for the hard work I can say I am a satisfied customer and proud to be a part of the community that is evolving with TG2  ;D
Now the update doesn't say if multi core is now enabled but first I dont have 100% usage all the time and the render work seems to be evenly distributed between both cpu cores.

Yep. Did it twice to be sure I have the right version. It says "DEEP" alright.

It's not yet.  I think that's what Matt is planning to start working on pretty soon.

;D then I wonder how, why or in what are both cores working on. I have nothing else working on that computer and if I stop the render both cpu cores go down to 5 % ???

David, don't wait, email registrations@planetside.co.uk. If you haven't gotten it by now it probably got eaten by a spam filter or you weren't on the mailing list for some reason.

Yeah, I notice that the Background object never realy finishes rendering its preview any more. Trouble is I'm using the latest video drivers anyway.  Its not too big a deal but it would be great if there was a solution. Incase anyone can help the Video card is an NVideia 6800GO.
Richard

*EDIT* the display problem seems to have dissapeared for now, not by using any new drivers (tried that and no change) but by loading up a scene created in the old version of TG2
