Post by: cbest on August 27, 2010, 02:44:06 PM
Could any of you tell me the difference and advantages of GI relative detail and GI sample quality?

Matt, Jo and Oshyan describe this in some detail here somewhere.  Did you do a search?

I don't know what i should say about the 2 post over mine here ,
but please have a look at these 2 sticky posts in the  "Terragen 2 Discussion" part of this forum:

There are other posts too but try to understand these ! If you do not understand some of them at first don't be afraid  :)
Make some test with TG2 with different setting , projects with different nodes etc.
In time you will have a better understanding of all of them.

And if you have problems you can ask here again  ;)

Most of the time leaving them unchecked is fine. If you are doing tight closeups of an object, then they come in play. 1 detail and 2 quality is enough, but sometimes 2 detail and 4 quality are better. It depends on the object and the distance from the object.
