I'm testing some animation things for the Garden of Eternity sequence, but I get this strange phenomena. On the computer I made the sequence, when I hit 'render sequence' it starts rendering, but when I copy the whole folder+file to another computer, open the same version of TG2, and hit 'render sequence' the sequence last number jumps to 1 and only one frame (not even called frame, as on pc 1) renders. Also, on pc 1, when I roll the project settings to say frame 112.5, and hit 'render' the frame jumps to 113, and renders that frame, as it should. On pc2, it jumps to the first frame and renders that one.
Any ideas what causes this? Is some additional software (Direct-X or so) missing perhaps?
---Dune
Hi Dune,
I'm not sure what's happening but I don't think it's due to anything missing from a third party, like Direct-X. It is more likely to be something to do with TG2 itself.
Can you please email me the project file at:
jomeder@planetside.co.uk
BTW TG2 doesn't use Direct-X.
Regards,
Jo
Hi Jo,
I'll send you the files asap, but I have to redo some things, as I worked on it some more (saved over the original, unfortunately) and messed things up (hawk flying through rock).
(hawk flying through rock) That is really awesome kung fu.

You laugh, while I'm in trouble...
It's good to laugh while you are in trouble. First, it eases tension. Second, it makes people pause and consider if you are insane.
