ok I re-revisited a scene I created last year, changed pov etc hit render and five+ hours later it was a disaster...some extreme displacement artifacts/errors....I re examined the node network and tidied it up, fixing extremes of smallest scales and displacement amplitudes of power fractals etc, and deleted an extraneous compute normal(???) I re-rendered, this time it came out as I was expecting but rendered in under half the time....a few lessons learnt over a year!
here are the results of the last few renders....
no wp btw, just jpegged....
still not happy I tried another pov...
more tweaks, back to the first pov and added some clouds...
more clouds and texture tweaks...
another pov, more tweaks etc, etc....
btw, models by lightning, klas and walli also mhazes gothic ruin...(thanks!)
terrains and surfaces by me!:)
I like the second and fourth ones the most - there's a nice tree on the right in the fourth one, and the mossy ground cover on the second is nice.
Nice landscape , Inkydigit :)
I'm sure I remember this. Looks great now!
The first one is my favourite, the scales of the vegetation look best there. If they're trees, that is. It looks like quite a large rock-face to, me. The trees just seem a bit big in the others. Nice! 8)
Great what you can learn in a year, eh, man! :)
I have always wondered how you achieved the stacked look to the landscape...
I remembered being green with envy when you first posted these stratified cliffs. I like the 2nd and 5th best. Nice to see variants of it again.
