very cool thanks!
neat! somebody do a terminator TG2 scene..
or maybe i'll do one
Excellent! I saw a good T-800 model before for free but it was in .max file only and I don't have 3DSMAX. Maybe it was actually this one, it appears to have been updated to include .obj.
Fantastic modelling work anyway, thanks for the link, J Meyer!

i would have gladly converted the max file for if my work copy(@ work) of 3DSMAX had'nt expired.
stupid *%#)^_$ max files ...
Yep,max files are a problem for me,too.Almost every good free model i
find seems to be a max file. ::) Lately i found a link to some really good
car models, factory stuff, but of course registration required and (this time)
a maya scene file only,dooooh!
Renders great in TG. Just an object test render so, I'm not posting in the image sharing board, just yet, I'll add some fire and things soon...

Nice!
8) Is it just the smooth normals of TG2 ?
I didn't smooth any faces before importing it, just separated and assigned the eye textures. The .obj model doesn't have any special groups(arm, hand, head, leg), or even, a .mat included so, you have to wade through about some 300 'cylinder/sphere/box/etc's to texture it.
He's also still in his Jesus Christ Pose because of this, which is why I have only rendered the upper head and chest.
The model is fantastically made, though, so just TG's smooth normals works a treat.

yikes!
looks good though!
Yikes indeed, man. That's why I could only be bothered tracking down the eyes, the rest of the entire model is now just textured with a reflective shader following some breakup shaders for a bit of fire damage tarnish. Taking a while to test render, though, when I need to use RT reflections to check the fire effects...
Lots of parts! Maybe you could combine some and reduce the count?
If you need any help with that or posing let us know.
