Title: Cloudscape
Post by: Ratchet66 on September 26, 2010, 08:09:45 AM
This is one of my first scenes using Terragen 2 but it's not yet final. What should I improve?

For me not much to say ; it looks good to me especially as a first image!
And welcome , Ratchet66  :)

Looks nice, can't find much to say! Try making your lower clouds with a little less coverage, so as to not completely cover the terrain. (That's just a matter of taste, really, you can do whatever you like. It looks realistic enough.)

The clouds themselves are rather nice. Reducing the coverage a little would be interesting. Also, you could try playing with the sun heading - e.g. take it out of the image to the right. Nice start!

The problem is terragen has errors when I try to render the scene at a larger resolution (1280x1024) I use the latest version of TG2 on windows 7 32-bit.Any idea what could be causing it?

It would help if you gave more detail on what the errors are - perhaps a screen shot? Or better still, post the .tgd - either here, or send it to Planetside.

I have a render being made right now and it's about 35% complete without errors.I'll post a screenshot if any occur.

looking good for a first render! just use higher quality settings for it to look more real :)
