And, surely that's blasphemous! Maybe it's just misplaced irony. :D

Could be worse - like advertising for Ed Hardy tee shirts... :P

I noticed another spam attack in TG1 Support. The thread title is facials in nyc.
Yeah I reported it.
i do believe we are under attack :D
Man the harpoons!
There's four spam things in TG1 discussion. This spammer must be pretty determined. Planetside Forums should delete these kind of things automatically.
As I may have mentioned, I am approaching my final exams at the moment.
Waiting for slow renders gives me the patience to work through the next old exam on my computer.
When I can´t stand it anymore, I go have a look at this friendly forum.
I should explain that I am studying medicine, and pharmaceutics is not my favorite subject, I can´t endure much more substance names-
AND NOW THAT!
I've been replying to the spam messages with Picard's facepalm, SPAM coming out of a laptop falling into a SPAM can, a can of SPAM with the No sign over it, and so on. I've also reported some of the posts.

don't post on spam... just report.
I've sent the spammer a PM complaining about the ads and warning that I'll ask a mod to ban the user if they post any more spam.

Haha ... I wonder if that spammer is even a person. It might just be something automatic.
I've sent two of the Planetside admins/moderators a PM asking for susansta to be banned.

The forum system uses a CAPTCHA to try to prevent automated bots from signing up and spamming, but it's not perfect. We don't have an active post content filter like an email client filter, but these kinds of systems are actually fairly rare in forums. There may be a plugin for our forum system to do this, I'll look into it, but of course it may incorrectly categorize good messages as spam too. It's always a trade-off.
In any case we had rather unusual circumstances (as explained in the new post in the Announcement thread about the support delays). You won't have to wait that long for it to be taken care of in the future.
