Can someone recommend a converter for flv to avi/mpeg4/wmv files,
a free one that is?

Yup. FLV Converter is what I use. Clue in the name! ;)

Format Factory works well. Firefox has Download Helper which can convert flv into several formats.

DivX has an alternative player for flv files which I use. It's much easier on the CPU than the new Flash Player that Adobe has now.

Thanks for the link,Martin,seems to be exactly what i was looking for.
Found some myself,but due to bad experiences i think it's better to have
a recommendation.

Henry - converting with Download Helper requires too much registring and
other stuff i don't like.But thanks nonetheless.
