This was supposed to become the normal daylight version in a normal day/magical night pair,
but I got the same error again after reconstructing it once:
Parse error at line 566:not well formed (invalid token)
the file doesn´t open in any recocnizable form.
The line in question is where the tree-object starts.
I had that problem before with the cloud-tree, is it possible that it has something to do with the treemodel?
Maybe I should post this in the TG discussion forum.
Here is the first (postable) wip image anyway:

C&C are welcome as always,
Best Regards, Jan
Oh: clouds are by Matt, Altocumulus on page 8 of the cloud library,
grass is by mr Lamppost.
I would add some of Walli's dry grass (available at NWDA) for variation. I don't know what would cause the parsing error. Have you tried to use a different tree model?
I will have a look for the dry gras, i tried to make it dry in spots using a PF on the colour function, but this didn´t come out.
The file doesn´t even open intact enough that i could change the treemodel.
I´ll try to change it in a text-editor.
Thanks,
Jan
Ok, it seems the model was to deep in subfolders (5) moved it two up and everything is fine.
I´ll be back when this wip is getting better (hopefully)
Does anyone know the childrens book "Grimbolds other world" by Nicholas Stuart Gray?
When I first read it as a child, I tried to paint the nightworld he describes and was disapointed.

I planned to try it with TG for some time, and here is a first humble approach wich is mainly done in Photoshop, using two renders.
Night

What do you think?
Nice atmosphere on the night shot. How are you distributing the moss on the tree? It's well done.
The night scene has a really nice 'illustrated' look. I like it.
Thanks.
to be honest, I don´t know what you mean by moss, there is only one imagemap for colour and displacement of the bark, and it is totally of scale, but I like the effect..
The soft shadows are greenish because I used green envirolight, maybe its the shadow of some leaves you are talking about?
Anyway, glad you like it.
Best Regards,
Jan
I like the daytime version very much; and, would be tempted to increase the decay in the atmosphere somewhat.
Thanks Choronr,
Don´t know when I will have the patience to render this one again.
By decay do you mean redsky decay ore haze?
Best Regards,
Jan

The Red Sky decay should improve the image a bit.
