Title: Columbia River Gorge
Post by: Gannaingh on October 20, 2010, 11:50:37 PM
This is a render that my old computer wan't able to handle in a timely manner; now that my new one is here anything can happen  ;D The terrain is actual DEM data from the Columbia River Gorge about 50 miles east of Portland, Oregon. Enjoy!

Extremely good - the water is excellent. The only thing I'd change is that I would have tried to recover a bit more detail in the sky with some HDR work - but that's personal taste.

Pretty much perfect to my eye. Great transitions from population areas to beach, nicely framed and great atmosphere settings to give you scale and distance for the river to flow down.
