Title: Otherworldly Badlands

another scene I'm working on the side when i was making the pumpkin, usually late at night

the terrain is a combination a PF terrain with redirect shaders, twist & shear, and strata & outcrops.

yeah I like this alot, almost moonlight feeling, the terrain work is really effective and interesting too, as are the clouds!!

This could easily be the surface of a real otherwordly location: Jupiter's moon Europa.  I really like the sinuous ridges.  How's about sharing the terrain clip?

fixed the sun... thought it should be smaller, tweaked the surfaces

thinking about doing some storyboard renders, at some point - kinda like a timelapse showing the sun moving through the sky.

Cool terrain shapes. Actually reminds me of Mammoth Hot Springs, which I visited recently:
