Hi, I'm a newbie, and would like to know if anyone knows which software packages can make importable people and buildings... or if there are ways to create them in T2? I have been hearing about Maya, Poser and Makehuman, but don't know anything about them. Any suggestions?
Welcome to the forum. :)
Any lightwave or wavefront, lwo or obj, format file can be imported into Terragen 2. For best results with UV image maps, sue PoseRay before impurting the objects into Terragen 2.

Poser makes human forms - I don'tknow how much it is though
Make human does the same and I beleive its still free. getting clothes to fit maybe an issue.
If you have £3000 to spend then maya is agood choice!
Google for free figures there are plenty of low poly ones around
Theres also Daz3d which is stilll free I think.

Daz Studio (http://www.daz3d.com/i/0/0?_m=d&refid=769234700) is for posing human figuresand free. There are a lot of free figures like Victoria4 and Michael4, you can find free clothing on Renderosity. Exported as obj you can import them into TG2.
Thanks for the welcome and information. I had no idea that you had to have a form first... this is really complicated. Thanks for pointing the way for me. :)
Go get Anim8or at www.anim8or.com Here are some models I've built with it: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=10141.0 http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=4522.0
You cannot build with DazStudio or Poser, they are rendering and animation tools. Get Anim8or or another simple modeller and you'll be all set.
