Title: Cloud test problem with 2 .2
Post by: mhaze on November 30, 2010, 05:34:28 AM
Hi All

Whilst trying to work out how to make clouds follow the terrain in 2.2 and playing with the new cloud settings I found that when using raytraced clouds the shadows of the clouds seem to be very broken as if they were very low samples. See attached pic bottom right. is there a setting somewhere I've missed.

What are your render settings like AA, cloud samples and quality?
Do you use soft-shadows?
Perhaps it's most easy to post a .tgd :)

Cheers,
Martin

This appears to be simply low cloud quality (less than 0.5) combined with low AA (3). Increasing either one or both will improve the results dramatically. You'll notice there's also noise in the clouds at this level.
