Hmm, I hate to be contrary, but actually that sunrise isn't that impressive, even by game engine standards. The sky coloring barely changes and is not particularly realistic, and the occlusion of the sun by clouds is very simplistic and unrealistic. The reflection on the water and the flare effect are the nicest-looking bits really, though not particularly impressive in either case.

Crysis still beats this for sunrise/sunset effects in realtime I think, and that was released several years ago:

oh yes of CryEngine kinda look "better"... and CryEngine 3 should be ready soon.
but it is good to see that some people do something to enter the arena of realtime 3D.
now, CryEngine is not alone and must do everything to stay the best ^^

and you read the features provided by the engine... good nontheless ^^

The amount of detail in the textures, the beautifully realistic grassy areas, the lighting all make this a potentially great engine.  The only problem I saw (and it isn't that critical) is that the sun was a blob and that wasn't realistic.  The shadows and lighting, though, and especially the blue sky, are great.

I like the Unigine Engine.

I am afraid the price is a bit steep. But I also like the look it provides.

$40000 is not expensive ^^
CryEngine2 cost $500000 and CryEngine3 is announced something like 1 million $ ;D
