Title: Tree View Postprocessed
Post by: mr-miley on December 14, 2010, 04:14:43 AM
OK, so here is the same image from an EXR, run through Photomatix for a bit of tone mapping. I think it has a more "summery" feel, a bit warmer than the other. But, as I said in my previous post, it only looks like that on one of my monitors  >:(

It looks very saturated and bright. I like the one before you tweak it. But that's just my monitor methinks :P

I think I prefer this one.

I think you lost a little detail with the post-processing. But EXR files can be tricky to get the right levels with.

Ignoring the shadows, when two renders put together, they look different time of the day!

prefer the first one

I love the lighting, but the shadows seem too light...almost nonexistent in some areas.  Of course, I'm not "there", so I'm not sure why this is so.

Your image on my monitor looks very normal - not saturated. Monitor: 20" SAMSUNG 'SyncMaster 204b' . Nice image you did here!
