Title: Summer Day
Post by: sjefen on March 23, 2007, 11:52:48 AM
My first image post.
Dont know what to say. It's a simple scene, but I think it turned out okey. Some small work in photoshop.
Thanks for viewing and please feel free to leave a comment.

Nice scene!  It's pretty classic TG ;).  My only suggestion would be to decrease the size of the purple flowers to make them more in line with the grass.

Great work - I love the way the trees thin out in the distance, making it seem as if you have paid significant attention to detail. Another way to solve the purple flower problem would be to keep them the same size, but make them grow in clumps - they just look too unstable being so tall and unsupported.

Thanks for the comments. I can see the problem with the flowers. Didn't see it before.
But how do I make them grow in clumps ???

I really like the lighting here. Nicely balanced and soft with good transmission through the trees and whatnot. I presume this is GI doings its job, but if so you've managed to give it a lot to work with for great results. Good rock shapes and populations as well, although a bit too much repitition is visible due to the lack of object variation. Overall a great scene.

I love the trees and the grass.  Everything is well lit.  Ditto about the flowers.  They look somewhat stiff.

Wow!  Then, GREAT JOB on the picture.  The grass is some of the best I've seen here among all of the different uses and types of making grass.  Bravo!

ah man....this is really awesome....but I have a suggestion....adding a church or a castle so that you can only see the tip of it from behind the trees....

He he..... thanks. I could try to add a castle or something. But I doun't have any models or any software to make one. So I will leave that for now.
But first of all I want to make som more variation in the scene.
