Title: Thankyou for the 2.2.23.1 update
Post by: cyphyr on January 31, 2011, 10:22:53 AM
Thanks for the update.
Looks like this has fixed some out of memory issues I've been having with very large GeoTiffs, multiple GeoTiffs or GeoTiffs with interesting atmospheric effects. They would render with numerous black and psychedelic buckets over them (is this the kind of issue this was supposed to fix ? ) but so far today they seem to be rendering just fine.
:)

And I add my grateful expression as I've been "sighing" about this over long it seem. I think it's because I love TG2 so freakin much it irks me being mired in poverty and unable to stay bleeding edge....thanx Matt et al..much appreciated

The solo cloud thing is looking good - Thanks Matt
I did notice that the altitudes on the Y didn't match exactly (of no big concern when were talking kms)

When I have spare cash, TGdeep is gonna be my first treat!

Thanks Planetside

As you move away from the origin, Y is not the same as altitude, because the planet is curved while Y is not.

It didn't specifically address any problems with GeoTiffs or loading of any other kind of image, but I suppose it's possible that if you were running out memory you might see weird things. It sounds more like you were seeing some other bug we're not aware of yet.

No, this is a Windows and Mac release. The Mac version is still considered a public beta while the Windows release is a proper final release. The announcement is here:

In the 2 byte character, therefore, the display still has duple size.

Frankly I'm amazed it's working at all with 2 byte text! We really only support English and don't test with other languages. At some point we will support Unicode and try to test how things behave in a wider range of languages. I'm sorry it's looking unusual to you but I really had no idea it would work with 2 byte characters at all.

Regards,

Jo
