some atmo/object testing, trees by Marc Gebhart and MrMiley, wheat by pixelmonk, textured by me...(cheers!) clouds are 4 layers using Matt's Mackerel technique and also some of my own....image processed from exr, some tweaks and jpegged, I'll maybe add a scarecrow next?
this one processed slightly differently from tiff, slightly closer to the original render output... thanks for dropping by!
cheers
Jason
:)
Very nice Jason, I like the low sun, golder color of the grass.
I think you should have more of the clouds visible. The lighting looks very good, I would exploit this.
cheers Bob and Henry, yeah I was very happy with the lighting and clouds, but it will take a while longer to render with more clouds, but I am sure it will be worth it...i will tinker some more!
same as my last post, added vegetation variation/shading, changed format to include more sky....thanks for dropping by and taking time to view/comment/critique etc...
:)
processed slightly differently...
and another....
ENOUGH WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHS ALREADY JASON! POST SOME TG2 RENDERS! :D :D ;D
nah, just kidding... these renders look great, i especially like the clouds/atmosphere
very very nice.
Wow. I am glad you showed off your clouds! 8) Excellent renders.
Fantastic sky. Grasses seem a bit dark and texture resolution maybe low?

I really like the second image for its brightness and contrasts. Super job here Jason.
That last image is the best. Very good all round I'd say. Was gonna suggest sticking in some farming equipment of some kind, but with that angle and composition it would perhaps be a distraction.
Don't know how I missed this first time round - mustn't have impressed me ???
The last one however is much better. The sky is breathtaking.
Beautiful image.
cheers folks, I am contemplating the next one...
:)
an edited version...
Ops ! This was one of the threads i wanted to say something !
I liked the old ones inkydigit ! The colors looked a little off for me but nice images :)
thanks kadri, I know the colours were a bit sketchy, in the originals, I will possibly rework this again to correct/improve these...
I still think you need crop circles in the inky, bit busy at the mo but will try and create the template and the flattened stalks someday soon
there too.... ::)
thanks Redwolf, crop circles are definately on the cards...getting the flattened stalks in a concentric/spiral pattern is gonna be tough though?
I may try one where the base of the circles/designs are not so obvious/visible....

My first step there would be to sort out the crop circles in a different program, using standard deformers, particle instancing etc, then output the circles as objects sharing the same material clusters as your standard population objects. That would be ideal anyway.
If you re-work, try adding a small grasshopper sitting on one of the stems ...good one Jason.
This is pretty sweet, I never really thought of doing an old black and white scene before.. Very Creative, and classic

Its a winner! I will buy it.
Wrap it up and send it over to the Louvre museum for hanging next to the Mona Lisa 8)
Excellent job.
I also like the second image posted of the full scene (second post).
CONGRATS!
