Title: Procedural citylights
Post by: freelancah on March 09, 2011, 01:09:33 PM
I got sidetracked from my volcano project when someone asked about citylights with luminocity. It still requires some work but I thought it wasnt that bad. Made with some inverted voronoi cells and some slight warp + power fractals.

cool!  :)
looks good, and i like it, looks more realistic than some other citylight type renders i've seen in the past (from orbit)

Ditto, it looks like we're all going procedural nowadays! Very convincing effect!

Thanks guys. I dont know if I have more time to fiddle with this but will see. Voronoi mimics the structures of cities surprisingly nicely :P
