Title: Help with painted shader and populations...
Post by: serraov on March 10, 2011, 11:23:02 AM
Hello!

I need some help in adding populations in painted shaders....
I want to add populations where I paint....I created a painted shader where I paint the areas I want to add my population, but when I add the painted shader for the populations density shader, the population stays out of the border of the painted shader....
Does anyone have a clue what I might be doing wrong?

Thank you so much for your help. :)

If you could post a screenshot of the issue it might help

it's important to not only specify the painted shader as the density shader in the populator, but also to activate the checkbox before the density shader in the populator dialog. Have you done that?

And maybe to check the 'plan' key is correctly set in the painted shader as well.

I've had issues with populations staying away from where I want them . Maybe you need to check Invert density shader.

Here's an example of how it should work.
