Got to thinking again about Edward Abbey whose books I've read: 'Desert Solitaire' (true life) and 'Monkey Wrench Gang' (fictional). This image brought me to thinking about him; and, who inspired me to move to the west. Try reading Desert Solitaire and you'll know what I mean. I've been to many of the places he mentioned in the book.
Check out this Wikipedia link and read about his life and the unique way in which he requested to be buried upon his death: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Abbey .
You do beautiful work. This is absolutely wonderful!
Hi Bob, this is an awesome render! Great scene, dramatic lighting. Really, the lighting is especially nice in this one.
I would cut away the lower 10th maybe - the soil at the very bottom of the image doesn't look quite right, but other than this nitpicking, I only have good things to say about this image :)
Cheers,
Frank
Very nice render , Choronr :)
I agree with Frank about the bottom part.
I really like the little flowers you add. it adds a little touch of delicacy.
good job on light (as usual, now) ^^
looks really good, :) choronr - i especially like the lighting and sparse ground cover you used.
maybe its just me, but it seems a bit different from some of your other renders.
Hats off! Plain awesome render. And it comes with a story as well. Thanks!
Thanks to all; and, I totally agree with Frank's suggestion. The base foreground looks a little screwy. If I ever print this one, I will crop the bottom portion of the image.
Fantastic image Bob, everything is spot on :)
