been playing with incendia,
its not much, though i may use it or something similar for some other bigger project later on.
this is'nt the original export model, i've modified it some.
C&C welcome.
a close up render
Wow, I like it. Looks like some strange element in a Tim Buton movie. Cool :D
I have been meaning to use some Incendia created objects myself. This is quite interesting looking.
Quite a surreal work of art ;) What I see there are people holding others on their shoulders
great structure, dali or gaudi-esque almost!
Nice! Reminds me of those things from Chronicles of Riddick - Pitch black
first one- the scale of spire tower compared to some 19m fir trees
second one- same incendia object but modified in a different way.
comments and suggestions welcome.
close up with different altered surfacing.
nice update, great surfacing!
thanks! i think i might start on another incendia object, something totally different from this spire.
.
Wow, the last one looks realistic! Are you going to add clouds?
i liked the texturing too, some of my best PF work.
i suppose i will add clouds at some point. had'nt gotten around to it.
this thing is massive..
i've been thinking about the scale of this structure, and how small a person would in the foreground area, a small speck!

last one for this week, i wont able to get to my computer until this friday.
hi-resolution version, though it seems i lost some of surfacing settings from one of the earlier versions.
Incredibly good rock displacement.
Okay the scale was a bit larger than I imagined. Great work nonetheless! ;D
a preview of an upcoming feature for the tower- a energy weapon based turret defense system.
these will be placed in various locations on the tower.
C&C welcome.
scale comparison
this is the same model from the previous renders, i have made a modified version which will have higher mesh detail, but i haven't loaded it into TG2 yet.
:o
massive
new version, with turrets
poly count is 1.5 million.
when i measured the height, it was around 2km tall.

C&C welcome
A very fine structure, indeed. 1.5 million... must be heavy to load. What you need is some reference for its height! Stick some trees underneath or a road or building, anything....
And it seems like the hind leg is floating, but that's probably because there's a hilltop just in front of it. Perhaps another ground seed would be beneficial.

It's Operational! :D ;)
bad thunderstorm last night, power was out for a couple hours, and my overnight render got aborted. :(
otherwise i would have a nice high resolution render with trees this morning.
this render is from earlier last night
i should a have render out later with two skyscrapers and trees soon.
with this render you can get an idea of the size of the white tower. Gigantic!
the blue skyscraper is 163.68 m tall, i dont know the actual height of the other one, since it hasn't been built yet.

This image reminds me of the vorlon ship form Babylon-5 used by Ambassador Kosh , while not exactly the same this image dose bear some resemblance to the aforementioned.
Regards to you.
Cyber-Angel
Awfully impressive. This is starting to be a wall covering stunner.

completely agree!
positron cannon turrets in use :)
last one for now, i've been making all these test renders and haven't made as much progress on the full scene i planned on making for this massive object in the first place!
:o 8)
I echo the above...looking great!
Cool render series!
