Title: sahara kodachrome
Post by: ndeewolfwood on April 06, 2011, 07:15:34 PM
hi,

some render i did recently.
My main goal was to make a simple and clean dunes-desert setup.
My sand shader use pretty much the same way to do than the dandelo sand setup : few fake stone shader with 1 mm scale and a very high density.
Original size 1920*1080 .

next time i will render this without clouds...just a simple gradient sky it can be more realistic in this kind of landscape...
I want to try different pixel filter too. I want something more "creespy"...any advice ?

All three are very nice - you've captured the lonesome feel with the scale and composition, especially in the second one. Not sure whether a change of pixel filter would make it more creepy - you could make it sharper with Catmull-Rom, but that might not be what you're after.

All 3 images are spectacular! Must be seen in full resolution to admire the beauty.
Excellent job ! Congrats!

thanks guys...
I need to make some retake to break the edges who looks to regular to me...and need to tweak the sky to add more realism to this.

Nice renders  , Ndeewolfwood  :)
I forgot to post here.
They are maybe a little too saturated and the clouds could be a little different.
But then you think the same way too it seems!

EDIT: Never mind, I see them.
