nice work, good comp and terrain. I also would like to know where you got the cacti, b/c the only ones I can find are really crappy

Hey guys the cactai its an old vue model that I exported to obj I edited everything in C4D cause the textures where not working, I will post the converted terragen object on the file sharing section as soon as it loads compressed its 15mb  ;D

Are the cactii supposed to be so deeply embedded in the desert? If this is a problem with the original[out of Vue] .obj, this can be corrected by running it through PoseRay, a free POV Ray object convertor that does wonders for making .obj TG2 friendly. I believe the post this was discussed in was called Object Convertor, ah...here's the link.......

The original has some distance between from the base but the population randomizer made some weird variations, still I have seen many cacti that grow like this so the overall look was satisfying.
Pov-ray its very good converter its a shame it doesn't merge textures  :P
Still I love cinema 4d and since I modified the original mesh a bit, I am quite comfortable using it  ;D
anyway the download includes the object file so you can edit or rework it in any app ;)
