Thank you PlanetSide for 64 bit TG2!!!!! Playing with Rich's mojo file. And FrankW clouds, and Dune water.
This looks very rough, in a good way. It surely breathes the circumstances of disaster.
I like the wet look the rocks have.
A very dynamic scene you have there. The rock texture is very good, great looking clouds too. The water's not quite right here, but that's a really hard ask in this scene. You might want to pull back on the reflection tint and Specular intensity in the reflection node a little for the rocks. I'm not sure how Dune's surf works in the water shader to be able to help on that one.
thanks guys. About the dune water, it was his work from long ago that had more to do with foam that I used, it is pretty much my water staple, indeed I need to figure out how to work in the more recent wave technology that I've been admiring.
great scene! Love it!
Has the look of an old art print... (which is a good/interesting thing IMO).

WOW! That looks fabulous, love the ship too. WHere can I find such a ship to also use
in terragen-2 ? I have searched for some but I have not found any yet.
This image you created is excellent! Congratulations!
Hi Max,
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/seatraveler-/33480
nice one P, looks like a watercolour painting, specially the bottom foam
this is really good, i like the cliff displacements & foam the most, but the ship wreck seems like its untextured, made out brass or something...
Thank you very much pfrancke for the link to that ship.
I will try to create something with it soon.
Your artsy images are great and inspiring! Wishing you all the best!
Amazing look, looks a bit like a painting. I bet the render times on all the reflective stuff was pretty rough.
great scene, love the cliff too!
Awesome cliff dude, is that pure TG2? (with "pure" I mean no phototextures and/or postwork)
Cheers,
Martin
very nice!
thanks everyone...
zaai999, about the ship, damn-it. You are right. The light off of it was intentionally at an angle to maximize the sun reflecting off the deck, but I forgot to run the Klas utility mtl2tgc and I'm pretty sure the ship textures are missing - though the sun was washing that out anyway.
TU - Martin, the cliff/rocks, an inverted crater is fed into the Rich2 Mojo file. I messed with grooves and displacements, then I added some shaders at the end with image map inputs. In postwork I used overlay to darken some areas and to brighten/color some areas, but no textures were applied in postwork.
Extra fine work here ...making me firing up some ideas.
Very very nice!!! Love it!!
Now proper NWDA Dune water!!!! Forgive me the miniature pictures and the fore-ground, but the background is pure TG2.
hehehehe awesome
Exciting; but, the background alone is a winner - and, the foreground tells a story.
