second render of this terrain i d/l from rendo. Took 10 hours to render with RTA enabled.
desert bush and cacti I modeled myself, cacti is available on ashundar and renderosity on freestuff
I like the lighting. The sun drowns out most of the detail of the landscape. The landscape looks interesting. A wide shot with the sun in the image to one side might be better.
That is one monumental mountain monument! (repeat that 5 times really fast ;D it sounds
like music!)
Very cool looking render. It reminds me of "Devil´s Tower" where Spielberg made the
film "Encounters of the Third Kind". That was another cool looking tower. Yours looks great!
Wow 10 hours? what were your settings? and Micro-Triangle count?
Didnt the mountain from encounters of the third kind have a flat top though?
it had raytrace atmosphere enable checked.cos i thought the sun might make the mountain glow, as for the time it dont matter, i usually render overnight :)
