I was trying to make the Nether in Terragen but I can't find (or remember) any good "realistic" cracked lava tutorials.
P.S. I don't want this post spammed with, "I can't seem to find any either."
EDIT: Also on a completely unrelated note can you invert the normals of a planet for the "ceiling" of a global cave system?
Searched: crack lava

This the fastest, nicest and most easy crack-function around...
To invert the planet surface, just use a negative number instead of a positive value in the radius.
You might find this thread useful, not as instructions for building a cave but on how to get a 'roof' on the planet in general.

Three things, one thanks for the ceiling/cracks, two how can you change the color of the cracks?, and three this might turn into a thread to help me with this project.
I don't know about cracked lava, but this works nicely for molten rock.
Oops I'm a little late but.... Thanks!
Umm... ya but how do I make the lava get less black when getting to the shore WITHOUT making it black and white?
Can you post an image of this? I'm not quite sure what is occurring to cause it to render as black and white.
There are all kinds of great lava examples here. Volker made one for me called CALICOS FIRE, if you can find it - a full-on example.
Found it.
Ok working with new setup how do I make this more "active" near the shore?
EDIT:Wait scratch that how do I make blend with the shore? (I'm using a seperate planet for the magma oceans.)
