Title: How do you make movies?
Post by: xvs950 on June 14, 2011, 04:01:51 AM
Hello!  Just started playing with this amazing program - but I can't make movies...it only makes a series of images?  What program do you use to "movify" them ? ;)

Hope to hear from you soon...and thank you.

There are many programs capable of loading image-sequences to convert to video.

I use VirtualDub, which is pretty easy.
Probably there are better options, but I honestly never investigated that as I don't render animations that often (yet! :)).

I use Blender 2.49b. I have not had time to do much with Blender 2.57. There are some very good video tutorials on how to use The Blender sequence editor.

Maybe I should try that too one day. I suppose the Blender sequence editor offers a lot more things like adding text or overlays/transitions and such...?

Avidemux is pretty easy to use and also free. Has some basic editing tools for sharpness, curves and such too

There are some transitions in Blender. I have not searched for any on the web. Text has to be created using the modeler part of the program, but it's not hard to do. Better transitions can be made without too much work.
