Title: We need a sky artist
Post by: theComedian on June 18, 2011, 03:29:47 AM
Dear members of terragen

I'm a level-designer for the game Blue shift source. A remake of the half life story.

I found this website and I must say, I was impressed of all the beautiful works I have seen here. (sky's, clouds,...)

My question is, is someone  interested to make some skyboxes for us?

We need a few sky's, on earth (+ clouds) and from another planet in space.

We work with source sdk to build our levels so if you have knowledge is a plus. We love moving clouds, so is this possible in terragen? (are the moving objects, models, layers,...)

Our website on MODDB is http://www.moddb.com/mods/guardduty
The forums where you can apply or ask some questions is http://www.blueshiftsource.com/forums.

If you have other questions you can send a mail to nexgenerationstudios.be

This is a free project but you get credits for all your work.

I thank you for your time.

Lander

I might help, but as I'm using the free version, the skybox won't be high-resolution. For clouds, you might want to look here: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=3691.0

Thanks, one question, if I use the free version can I make 3D skyboxes with it? Because I can render only in 2D

You render each face of the cube as a separate image, then you use the images to make your skybox.
