Title: Distant Shores
Post by: Cocateho on June 28, 2011, 01:40:13 AM
Looked around a little bit into how to get stars in the night sky and discovered how easy it is to just use an image for the background.  :D The image is on from the hubble telescope i believe. The scene i took from a dream i had as a kid, a rough idea of it, but close enough for now.

The sky is quite busy with the Hubble image. More detail in the foreground would help balance the composition better. Try adding some fake stones and some plants, but allow a nice beach to stay.

This has some good potential. The moon/planet looks nice. So does the sand.

Thanks. funny you should mention fake stones as thats what I used to get a sort of sandy look   :D But yeah this was just a rough first go at this type of scene. I'm thinking maybe a couple well placed large boulders with kind of a tide-worn effect if I can find such a thing and maybe a mountainous peninsula jutting off the island a ways down the coast.
